OUR COMMITMENT TO SAFETY
Conaway Electrical Service provides a Safety First atmosphere that protects the lives and health of our associates and other persons, prevents damage to materials, property, and equipment, and avoids work interruptions. Our goal is to keep our associates and others safe on the job at all cost and ensuring that we are good neighbors to the communities in which we conduct business by complying with all environmental, health and safety regulations.
By maintaining a Georgia State Certification as a Drug Free Workplace we ensure that our employees are fit for duty and are able to put Safety First on every job every day. We conduct pre-employment, annual, post accident, suspicion and random testing. Our substance abuse policy is designed with two basic objectives in mind; first is that our associates deserve a work environment that is free from the effects of illegal drugs and alcohol abuse and the problems associated with them and second is that our company has the right and responsibility to maintain a healthy and safe workplace for our associates and customers.
Our associates and management team keep this commitment by showing visible support for our safety initiatives and goals, but also by getting personally involved to ensure safety is first and foremost every day.
To help ensure the success of our safety program, Conaway Electrical has on staff, a Certified OSHA Outreach Trainer and a Certified American Red Cross Instructor, this allows us to give our associates the tools they need to be “safety” successful. Safety training is conducted regularly for all associates, pre-construction meetings are conducted at the onset of each project and daily implemented safety meetings are conducted by our management team using a Job Hazard Analysis (JHA). Periodic site audits are conducted as well to ensure our Safety First initiatives.
Conaway Electrical Service is a pre-qualified “A” rated vendor/supplier for both ISNetworld and Avetta Inc. Owner/Client programs. Our experience modification rating (EMR) is .80 and our total recordable incident rating (TRIR) is 1.23 which shows the commitment of all our associates to create a Safety First atmosphere and to put safety above all else.
